Modest Mouse, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank (2007)

Not on the list but I added it because I have a soft spot for this album, fond memories from hearing it on the Tracy Ross evening show on WKMS. (Sorry, I've mentioned this program ad nauseam.) Because of that program, I bought the album and listened to it again and again and again.

It really is beautiful and beautifully themed. I'm not much for pirates and that seafaring sound but this album does it well.

I'd like to own this one again.
