Update: 23 of 100 rejections

 

I have over a dozen stories and pieces out there awaiting responses from about 70 literary magazines. So far, I've received 23 rejections and one acceptance, the latter a piece due to be in print next year.

This year, I've worked hard on what I've sent out. I do confess that I regret the most recent rejection, though, because I tried to reframe an extremely short story as a poem, I haphazardly line-broke it, and it was deservedly rejected. Never again will I do that. Aside from that, let's keep pushing the pieces.

And let's keep writing.
