Peter Wolf, Sleepless (2002)

This ain't bad, but I feel like I've heard thousands of rock-blues-soul acts just like this, headed up by some white fellow affecting a soulful black voice. Peter Wolf sounds like a cheesy bar act to me and I wouldn't know him from a so-called amateur.

Naturally, all of this is a matter of taste. I'm sure some people would love this. I wouldn't even mind if folks like this were performing at a bar so long as it was too loud and I could treat it like muzak while enjoying a burger or beer. But that's about the extent of my concern for it.

This doesn't really move the soul.
