Joni Mitchell, The Hissing of Summer Lawns (1975)

I'll confess, the title got me. Some folks say this is her best album. I'm not sure, but what I do know is that of what music of hers I've listened to, this seems to be as good as any. That sounds like a backhanded compliment, but I don't mean it that way. I like Joni. Her music is soothing.

Nevertheless, even though I'm giving this album thumbs up now, I could imagine that when I come back and narrow down my list of great albums this album wouldn't make the cut. Possible one Joni Mitchell record would.

If none do, oh well. So much the worse for me, not Joni. She's done well on her own.

Did you know she's 78 years old? May we all live as long and be as creatively productive.
