Steely Dan, Can't Buy a Thrill (1972)

A lot of cool things have stupid names. Die Hard. A Clockwork Orange. And, yes, "Steely Dan."

But I got to tell you, their Can't Buy a Thrill (1972) is just awesome. I didn't even know it was they who did all this great music, and here's the LP that seems to contain most of it. I'm talking about "Do It Again," "Dirty Work," "Reelin' in the Years" … This is a band that's given the oldies stations plenty of '70s content.

I wish I could say something more about the album. Might it be one of the best 100 albums? It might be.
