A Lebanese-American moves back to Lebanon during the war and begins work at an Irish bar where he develops a friendly relationship with the Irish men who come into the bar.
"Drinking While Driving" by Raymond Carver
The narrator recalls times riding around in his brother's car drinking had liquor with him, both of them having nowhere to go and nothing to do. This is one of Carver's earliest points, first in his first set.
